When you lose something valuable, you want clear answers without hidden surprises. At Ontario Ring Recovery Services, we keep our pricing simple, honest, and aligned with affordable and fair pricing for both you and our recovery Specialists.
Standard Land based Rate Guidelines For The (Kingston & Surrounding Area)
The rates below serve as a general baseline and guideline for recovery operations originating in the Kingston, Ontario area. This is also a reference for Land based recoveries.
We operate on a straightforward two-part fee structure designed to keep costs reasonable while ensuring a dedicated, professional effort for every search:
1. Local Call-Out Fee — $75
- Covers: On-site assessment, equipment setup, and dedicated search time on location.
- ***(This cost covers the first hour of search time) ***
- Paid: Prior to the start of the search.
2. Successful Recovery Fee — $75
Site & Out-of-Pocket Fees: Any third-party costs required to perform the search—such as road or bridge tolls, provincial/national park entry fees, parking, postage fee, or even boat launch fees.
Also after the first hour of search time you may be asked to cover time at $30/hr, and per detectorist.
These costs will be in addition and added on top of your original recovery quote.
What the recovery fee covers?: The successful location and return of your lost item.
Paid: Only when your item is safely recovered. However this fee will be paid prior to sending the item or ring back to the owner if we need to mail the item back to the owner. (If we are meeting in person to return the item, then this fee can be paid upon its return to the owner)
Travel & Mileage: $0.75 per km, this will be calculated from the home location of your assigned recovery specialist to and from the search site.
This fee is in place to cover the related costs incurred for our recovery Specialists, such as fuel and related expenses.
Some other recovery sites may have a Smaller fee structure than ours or, they sometimes base the recovery fee on the total value of the item in question.
Here at Ontario’s Ring Recovery Service’s we want to be clear on our expectations for services rendered. The formula as to how we charge for the service is clear and you know what to expect. This takes the guess work out.
Here, at Ontario Ring Recovery Services we believe we have the best people working to help you find your lost items and have it returned safely we value our detectorists, their time, Knowledge, and equipment. These fees are put in place to make sure proper compensation is paid to our recovery specialists.
Water Based Recoveries (Requiring A Diver)– We require a diver for any water hunt deeper than 5FT in depth or greater. The fee structure above does not apply if the recovery requires a diver. When you require a diver for your items recovery, then you will be put in contact with the diver in the area and you will need to discuss the rate with the individual diver, Each diver will have their own rate and we do not pre-negotiate their price for them.
